Legal Project Management 101
The Very Basics
September 24, 2015
Legal clients have responded to their own financial constraints by reducing legal spending and demanding more efficient, streamlined, and dependable legal services from their legal services providers. More than ever before, legal clients are demanding better communication and more input with regards to the delivery of their legal services.
Corporate clients are now demanding that firms draw on the principles of project management with regard to initiating, panning, executing, monitoring, controlling and closing out their legal matters. The principles of project management, a standardized system for managing projects, have been used in the corporate sector for decades.
Prior to the concept of LPM, there were no uniform guidelines to manage cases although project management has been around for years in the corporate sector. Now LPM is spreading rapidly and paralegals who learn LPM will be positioning themselves for long lasting careers in top positions.
If attorneys and paralegals want to compete in the legal market place in this changing economic climate, it is imperative that these legal service providers familiarize themselves with the principles and technology of LPM. LPM is quickly becoming the new normal and some firms have already lost big clients to competing firms that have established LPM practices. Don’t allow yourself to be left behind!
In this LPM 101 Webinar, you will learn:
